Default Tranny not shifting

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9 liter moter in it. A while back the tranny had messed up on my way back from a hour drive. It had sounded like a monkey with a sledge hammer in there. It would not shift from 1st gear. I had recently mess with it to see if it was anything simpler than rebuilding the tranny. I used some Marvel mystery oil and some lucus transmission stuff to help with sticky valves. That did work a little bit. When the tranny fluid is cold it will run good but when it gets warmed up it will not shift right. I had tried manually shifting it from 1 to 2 and then to drive (3-4) and it will shift sometimes and others it will not so if you can help me with it I will appreciate it.
