white smoke coming from exhaust
hello, I would really appreciate it if someone can help with my question. I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 8cylinder 5.7. I have to have my catalyc converter replaced, could this be the reason for the white smoke coming from exhaust? What is the best converter to purchase for my year/model?
Thank you

I hope that is not the case that sounds costly, but thanks for your input.
When the vehicle is idling walk around the back by the exhaust if you can not smell oil burning or do not notice a sweet smell do not worry about it. If you do notice a sweet smell it is because you have antifreeze leaking into the exhaust system either from a bad head gasket or a crack in the head or block. Hope this answer helps
Is the white smoke was come before you replace the converter?
Same problem i have in my 2006 dodge, the white smoke come at the time of morning when I start my truck. After 10 min it stops coming white smoke because of engine warms up.
