Default 4.9L problems

hey guys i am looking at a 1995 f150 with the 4.9L I6 engine in it. the guy who owns it is selling it for $400. he says that when the engine warms up it smokes and it seems to be running on 5 cylinders. does anyone know what would cause this because the only thing i can figure is a blown head gasket. thanks for your help.

Default valve guides-seals for smoking

a burnt or bent valve would cause the miss (more likely to be burnt). 1994 model year was the last for a 4.9 i-6 btw

Thats what I thought but I figured I was just wrong on the year. Oh well, glad I didn't try and get it then, must have been a scam or something.
