Default Defrost is making my windshield foggy.

Hey all,

New to the site. Have a problem though.
Truck:
1997 Lariat F150
X-cab
4x4
w/smaller V8.

Lately I've been smelling something bad in my truck, not no me...I think, anyways, it smells like antifreeze in the inside of my truck. I smell it when I turn on the air, not too much from the air conditioner, but just normal air.

Also, when I use my defrost(yes it's on hot), my windshield fogs up to the point that I cannot see out of it and have to wipe it in order to see.

I just changed my oil, added wiper fluid, and flushed/added coolant. Tested it again, and I still got the same problem.

I would greatly appreciate any help to solve this problem.

Sounds like you have a busted heater core. Check the carpet on the passenger floorboard by pulling up the rocker trim. You can stick your hand between the floor pan and the jute/sound deadening. If it stinks and is moist, put in a new core.
