Default how to date F-150 bed ?

Hello all, I just acquired a 1980 F-150 that has a newer bed on it. I think that the bed is approximately a 1990, but I'm not sure. I want to date the bed so I can find a tailgate for it. Is there a simple way to date it by either finding a part or model # on it, or by visually identifying it ?
Thanks for any tips

I would look for some kind of part number on it somewhere.

Do you have a picture of it? I am sure we could tell by that.
