Hi,

I have a 1990 Ford F150 that I just got. It's old and beat up but I'm trying to fix it up a bit.

I was just wondering where to start? What can I do to make the car quicker? Faster? Or even sound better.

I have never modded anything. The only mechanic experience I have is changing the oil and tires on mu old dirt bike.

I'm not looking to spend too much money but I'd say around $2K is good.

I also use it for work so a lot of miles is put on it.

P.s. It has a 4.9L 6Cylinder engine.

 

with the 6 cyl engine you should start with a cai and exhause upgrade. Are you sure that is is a 4.9 and not a 4.3?
