What can I do to make my ford f150 5.4 liter triton faster? kind of low on cash though.

2005. its got a 6 inch lift and big all-terrain tires...its already pretty fast but i want it faster so when i go crusing

 

Well you should start b letting it breath cold air intake and exhaust then maybe a cam. It all depends on how much money you want to throw into it.

 

well what i was thinking is gutting the airbox, then putting a 500 hp chip in it, then putting from airfitlers in...that should do the trick...maybe when the time comes a supercharger, or turbo....probably turbo because they are better

 

I thought you said Ford's were POS's?

 

they are its just way faster than my truck...so i would rather work on the faster truck.

 

to be honest, I'd rather work on yours. somewhere down the road it's going to be worth a hell of a lot more than the ford.

 

yeah i know that but its hard to find parts for my truck and to expensive. plus my moms ford is fuel injected and has air system....mine just has a carbuator and an airfilter.,......it would be alot better to just make my ford faster than my chevy
