Rear Diff problems!

Will a Ford 8.8 3 55 rear end work in my ford 150 shortbox(1996) it has a 8.8 3 55 as well, is that all that needs to match up in order for it to work or what?

the 8.8 3 55 i want to put in is from a 1988 bronco and mine trucks a 1996

shouldnt be a problem at all if both the axles match up.
