a friend of mine has rebuilt his 2.9 liter V6. now it won't start and i have been asked to help him. I have tried anything I can think of to get it to start but have had no success.<IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">it has 40 lbs of fuel pressure and tries to start but just can't get going.timing chain is correct-firing order is correct- fuel pressure is correct- but it only stumbles when you try to start it. anyone have any ideas?

I know you said timing is correct but re-check to make sure TDC exc..., also at your own risk try starting fluid or carb clean straight to intake to eliminate fuel problems, is compression ok, how about coil etc.. it is usually something stupid you have already checked but not thorougly.
