Shouldn't be a big deal, just make sure you disconnect the battery and drain all the residual voltage out of the electrical system.
The thing that gets people hurt with airbags is not knowing how to handle themselvs with static electricity precautions..
Those things only need a small bit of voltage shock to interpret as a collision and they blow.
After you take it out, store it face up for safety.
