Just got me a 2006 King Ranch Diesel.

Its used but real clean and in good shape.

The owners manual advises to reset the keyless code, I need the 5 digit manufaturer code which can be found on what sounds like the PCM. So the most obvious place to look is in the engine bay.

The PCM is on the engine way back under the plenum.

But there's no 5 digit codes there.

The previous owner did not pass along the wallet card with the 5 digit manufacturers code.

I took off the storage bin under the radio and looked upward toward the radio, but can't find anything there either.

So I'm looking for this elusive 5 digit code.

Can anyone help?

I found mine, on the inside of the drivers door by the tag that shows when the truck was made. if that does not work i would call up and ask ford

 

I located my 5 diget code by removing the storage bin under the radio. Take a long screw driver and a flashlight, and move the white insulation on the fire wall. The elertronic box will be mounted to the floor agaist the fire wall. The 5 digit number will be in bold black print, on the white modle number tag. Hope this helps.
