Default 2002 7.3 wont stay running any ideas???

Hello,

I have a 2002 F350 7.3 and it will start up and run fine for a little while (3-6min) then die. Sometimes it will start right up again but wont stay running as long. Some times it wont start right away but if it sits a while it will again. After it shuts down you can still hear the fuel pump (on the frame) running for around 10 sec or so then it shuts off.

So I replaced the fuel filter first and thought that was it, it ran about 15 min then died. ARG So I rented a code reader and it isnt showing any codes. I am thinking of changing the fuel pump next but thought Id ask here and see if anyone had any ideas.
Thanks in advance for any info

Lance

I guess Im going to take it to a shop for "Engine Diagnostics" for $85.00 and see what they come up with. I cant take it in until tomorrow, but when I find out what they say I'll post it.

before going to a shop... unplug the icp (located on top of the motor in the driver side head, has three wires.) it will turn on the check engine light but wont hurt any thing, if the truck continues to run normal then the sensor needs replaced, this is a $150-$400 part and is eay to check. the other thing would be the cam positioning sensor, this is a $20 part from international and takes less then 30 minutes to replace.
