Hello,

I have a 2003 F350 with 6.0 engine. Today, I noticed the tranny wasn't shifting into overdrive, the tranny temp guage was to the red and the tow/haul light was flashing on the end of the shift arm. I pushed the button and nothing happens. I checked the fluid and its right up where its supposed to be. This truck only has 25K on it. I checked underneath and everything looks good. Any Ideas out there as to what may be wrong.

Check the VSS on top of the read diff.

 

Thanks. This problem has been diagnosed as a bad Transmission flued temperature sensor and replaced. Now works fine.
