Default Battery crud

2008 F250 King Ranch diesel. For about three years now crud has been building up on the negative terminal on one of the batteries. Both are red tops and both were replace at the same time about five years ago. The acid deposits get very heavy and bluish so I remove the cable and thoroughly clean it, spray it with terminal cleaner and replace it. Battery checks out fine. Truck starts and runs just fine, but I know the cable is getting crudded up whenever I start the truck the dome light flashes upon startup. Sure enough it’s got deposits all over it. I remove the cable and clean it and the flashing stops for about three months then starts again. It’s not a problem that has left me stranded anywhere but it is just annoying. Anyone else had this happen and did you find a permanent fix?
