Unhappy F250 Diesel -Blown oil rail plugs

Just found out on my 2005 F-250 6.0L Diesel, (51,000miles) the oil rail plugs are blown ...engine just turns over but does not start. Only starts when cold.

Is there any one else out there with the same problem? Does anyone know if there is a recall on the engine for this model year? This is a pricey repair that shouldn't have happened this early. Of course NO WARRANTY!!!

Is there a chance that this is a repeat thing down the road ...like the next 5 years???? If so this truck is gone!!

Lightbulb Ford recall web page

Try this web page http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/RecallsPage&searchid=444987|32057567|210359107

Just put in your VIN and it is supposed to tell you about any current recalls.

Good Luck

Default some expirence

i have worked on a few ford diesels both the 6.0 and the 7.3. powerstrokes use a high pressure oil pump that controls several parts of the engine. they can be the cause of the no start, and also a lack of power, missing, etc.. I cant be too sure about the year on your truck but if you take it to a dealership they can put a scanner on it to see if it is the problem. unfortunatley if it is, it can get expensive. to get to it requires removal of the turbo, intake, and a few other components. but they can only test the pump if it is still on the truck! so dont remove it if you want it tested, i made that mistake once myself. hope this helps keep me posted.
