Fog Light Install on F250 XLT 5.4 V8 4x4
My F250 XLT did not come from the Ford factory with fog lights. I ordered Ford OEM foglights, an OEM wiring harness, and then installed.
I plugged the wiring harness into the newly mounted fog lights and then the wiring harness to the vacant grey plug by the driver's side headlight. I turned on the lights and the fog lights did not come on.
What is the next step? Do I need a new headlight switch? I see vacant plugs under the driver's side dashboard near the parking brake that are just dangling, not plugged into anything (I think I saw three plugs there and one looks like the plug for the fog lights if I saw it right).
Am I supposed to plug something into the back of the headlight switch (I didn't see any vacant places to plug into my current switch leading me to believe that I need a new switch with a place to plug one of the dangling plugs under the dash into). I have an Excursion that came with foglights and to turn them on you pull on the headlight switch. Do I need to replace mine with one of those and then plug one of the unused plugs into the back of it?
Thanks for taking the time to read this...

Thank you, that's what I was thinking too. I did check the fuse panel on the passenger side kick plate: fuse #21 is the foglight relay. A 15A fuse is plugged in and a good fuse.
Update: I ordered a replacement headlight switch, the kind that has the foglight option (one that pulls out to turn on the foglights). I'm waiting on the thirty plus dollar part (free shipping) from Quirk Auto (Ebay). I'll keep you posted on if it works or not...
