Default New and Need Help.

Well I just bought my first truck, a 2002 F250 and I've got some ideas but I have no idea where to start. First off I'm gonna have it painted (eventually) all black, looking into some wheels and I really like the Rockstar's in 20's.

That's not the problem though, my problem is I want to raise the truck a bit so I can fit some nice big tires on it, not sure on where to start with this or what it's gonna cost. Any input/suggestions?

well for starters you can look into roughcountry.com and their lifts. they have a bunch for each year range. if your lookin to do like a 4 or 6in lift, itll cost in the neighborhood of 800 to 950 or so. they are a good company and i know a few people who have their lifts on their trucks and jeeps.

youll be able to up to 37s i believe. but thats were it begins to get pricey. if your lookin into some really fancy rims, it can cost you up to 300 a rim, and with tires costing up to 250-350 a tire.

id say your better of gettin a smaller rims like, 16s, that are steel and cost about 60 a rim. and yes they come in chrome black and white

check out truckaddons.com theyll have everything you need

now go git-r-done

Thanks, so what do I need exactly for a proper lift?

we'll, when your looking into a lift it will tell you what you'll need. you;ll need the production date of truck and other tech info about the truck.

but if need to know how much lift your gonna need for 20s, i think you may be looking into a 4-6in lift maybe.

depends on how thick the rubbers are your gonna be wrappin round em

amen!

anyways jegs.com has a nice large enventory of lifts, tires, rims, anything and everything basically. i haven't looked at prices lately but they weren't too bad last time i checked. plus if you buy it all from one place you will more than likely get a good deal on shipping.

have fun and good luck.
