I have been searching my trans and transfer case to find the speedometer output senser. I have a new sensor on hand but am unable to locate the one that needs replacing. I have been told that I have to drop my transmission to replace this part...I have been told to trace my speedometer cable in order to locate this sensor. But have had no luck. The Chilton manual is no help and searching on google also turns up no solution.

Is there somewhere, other than going to the Ford dealer, I can find a "actual" diagram and procedures for replacement of this very annoying part?
