Default Mazda Steering

Ok. so being a Chevy guy, I don't get to work w/ mazda pickups very much. But now I got this guy (friend of a friend I sware) who says it takes twice the wheel play in order to turn.
He was in a fender bender that was just hard enough to push the bumper into thr left tire (easy pullout and go fix). Do you think that was hard enough to mess up the steering? And if so, what do I do to fix it?

Thanks for the help!

Default RE: Mazda Steering

Frame bent? Steering linkage (tie-rods, check alignment) make sure pitman arm is OK. Other than that the gearbox could be out of whack after all a Mazada is just a Ford in camo.
