Default 1980 Chevy Scottsdale

I'm a total newb with any vehicle, all though I do know a little bit. My dad has 1980 Chevy Scottsdale with a 350 5.7 liter engine in it. I have quite a few questions, and will try to get some pics up soon. I know i'm going to have to replace the hood, both doors, the tailgate, and possibly the seat soon. I'm going to have to get 4 new tires as well. My question is about the dash. I believe i'm going to have to replace the the guages and stuff, but would it be easier just to take out the entire dash pad and replace everything at once? Where is a good place to get all this stuff? I have a LMC truck catalog. Oh yeah, I'm going to have to replace the Ignition Lock Cylinder in it as well. This is the second set of keys my dad has lost!!!!!!! this will be the third one this truck has had. It needs alot of TLC, 5 kids have learned to drive in this beast. It has a custom bumper that is welded on and its sweet. Get pics soon hopefully. I also have a grille guard for it.

anyone have any comments? questions for more info? Anything??

Here is some more info anyway, i will have to replace the hood, fix a huge dent in the driver door, proabably have to replace both doors, replace windshield, I'm replacing the ignition lock cylinder right now. Is this truck even worth having? it has a gas tank on both sides of the truck and is hooked up to run propane *not sure if this actually works or not.* Thats what i know it will need. The A/C doesn't work in it, but that doesn't bother me. And as the original question pertains I am wanting to replace the dash, the guages "should" work. that doesn't mean they do, its been parked for a looong time with out being driven. So is it worth it? if it is whats the best way to go with it..

O ya it will need a new battery as well *i'm going to try to just charge it. *)
