Did GM ever use the 305 V8 truck engine in their 3/4 ton truck (early to mid 90s)?

I'm really trying to find out if a 305 engine (I have one in good shape) will move a 5500 lb 4x4 pickup adequately (street use and light hauling only).

Is there a BW T19 bell housing for the 305?

Here is a good site with allot of people that can help you LS1 Trucks. I think it will move the truck ok as long as you have the right gear ratio. By the way what gear ratio do you have in the 3/4 ton?
