Default 4.3L clutch

I just ripped off my transmission on my 1998 K1500 4.3L Manual4x4. Ihave abrake fluid leak that i'm assuming is a bad o-ring on thequick connect going into the tranny from themaster cylinder. My question is about the quick connect. CanI somehow take it off with something in the garage, or doI need that special toolI havebeen hearing about? And could the leak be coming from the slave or is it most likely the o-ring? Its been a while since i tore into atranny. Thanks.

That white plastic part at the connector IS the tool...work it towards the tranny with a small screwdriver and it unlocks the line.

be sure to use clutch fluid..not brake fluid.....clutch fluid has special lubricants...brake fluid will make the cylinders fail sooner

Good deal, I got the quick coonnect off. As far as fluids, the cap on the resevior says "USE ONLY DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID".
