DEATH WOBBLE!!!!

Default DEATH WOBBLE!!!!

I have a 98 chevy 1500 with a fairly big lift and I have this wobble that I get when I reads 30mph or so.. If I sped up real fast or slam on the brakes it stops until next time I ease into 30mph.. Can anyone help me???[8D]

driveshaft maybe? sometimes the little tab they stick on to balance it comes off
and the thing vibrated like a....

shake down the front end...sometimes bigger tires put more stress on wearable front steering and suspension parts..jack up the front of your truck and with the steering wheel locked grab a front tire at 12 and 6 oclock and wiggle it. play that way means ball joints do the same at 9 and 3 that means tie rod ends or pitman/idler arm. if no play check wheel balance and alignment

check your rotors. i had this same problem on my 92 chevy. it just got worse and worse. then i replaced them and problem solved

check out your steering stabilizer too. I had that happen on a jeep of mine... Go over some railroad tracks and it would shake like crazy. Put a beefier steering stabilizer on there (with bolts intact, unlike the stocker!) and the problem was gone!

Worth a look.
