Electrical problem
OK, so I bought this 97 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton EXT Cab truck. The head on the left bank was cracked from who knows what. It has a 350 FI engine in it (not TPI) and I tore it down, had the block checked and all the right stuff done. Slapped some new heads on it and Voila!, so I thought:(. I plugged everything in to the proper ports (so I thought), yet I have 1 plug still missing a home.It is round, not oval, with 2 prong ports. It part of a brach from the main harness along with both A/C plugs, coolant neck temp sensor, harness ground, both plugs for T/B and some funky thing next to the thermstat neck. It has got to be for the A/C because my clutch isn't kicking in but there are no more ports that I can see. Can anyone help me with this problem?

RE: Electrical problem
it goes ointo the BACK of the compressor...small..black....careful,the pins are DELICATE...don't force anything.

RE: Electrical problem
where on the back, I already have 2 plugs in there, 1 by clutch and 1 by by hard hoses in the back.

RE: Electrical problem
Right on the ass..
You have THREE plugs...the clutch coil...the sensor (green) on the hoses...and hi-pressure cut-off....opposite end of the belt.....route the plug over the compressor, there is a "clip" for the harness on your right..and sort of follow the path of your upper hose....on the BACK of the compressor itself |
