My 99 Sierra just decided to stop unlocking with the remote. Had the key tested by dealer and said it was outputing all signals. Wondering what steps I could take myself. I checked all the fuses which I believe would be causing the problem. I tried reprograming it with the "hold unlock button, turn key on off on off, hold unlock on key" and that did nothing. I despise the dealers. They will look at my reciever starting at a 105 bucks. I wonder where the reciever and antenna is located on my truck and if there is anything I could check on it or just replace with a used one or something. Any help or links to other posts would be apprecieated. By the way, once in a while my security light will come on while driving. The other thing I must say is there is a remote start installed on the truck. I have googled many things and come up with nothing.
