i have a 1986 chevy truck that i just purchase and they say that it may need the timing change replace, how can i test for a timing change problem?

 

Howdy errodri1961, timing chains do ware, most of the time thay wear to the point that your truck wont start, if its running fine don't worry about it, depending on you motor size you can adjust your timing by the distributer. you cannot on the 4.3L v6 vortec.
