Default Replacing the timing chain......

I replaced the timing chain on my 91' at 125K. But even then I noticed it didn't really need it as much as I thought it would. (Wasn't giving me problems, just thought 100-125k was a good mileage to replace it). What about these new motors? On my 5.3, should I worry about it? When would I do it?

I have never heard of having to worry about it.

So.....only change it during a rebuild or when you have a specific problem with it?

Well thats good to know cause I don't know if I like the idea of doing it myself on this thing with all the electronics. I admit Im a little intimidated about this engine compared to my old TBI.

Yeah I know I couldn't get it off with what I have at home. (Back when I tried to put on electric fans)
