Default Can a Small Windshield Crack Really Wait?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for advice about a minor issue on my car. I recently noticed a thin line on my windshield after a cold night, and it hasn’t grown yet. Some friends say it’s harmless, others say fix it immediately. I keep hearing that a small crack in your windshield can wait if it’s not spreading, but I’m nervous about safety, visibility, and inspection rules.

Has anyone here waited months before repairing a similar crack? Did it suddenly worsen, or stay stable?

I’d appreciate real-world experiences, cost considerations, and tips for preventing further damage over time please share thanks
