Default Help to choose right sized tire chains for odd ball tire size

The tire chains at my retailer are diamond back brand and I need to get them quickly and don't have the time to order. 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with 265/65/R18 tires. My tire size on the chain chart doesn't match to one of their sized chains. They do have a set listed for 265/60/18 and a different set listed for 275/60/18 (among many other sizes). I am wondering if either of these will work and if so, which one? I think these 2 are the closest in size to my tires, the ratio always messes me up! I plan on also using the bungee spider tensioners this time, I just lost 1 chain 2 days ago as it got too loose and slipped off.

I do have access to a cable style set of chains that match my tire size but what I'm told is that they are not as strong and more likely to break. The usage for these chains are to get up and down the road to the ski hill. So slippery/snowy/icy conditions overtop of a paved road. They are not commonly needed, in 8-10 years I've used chains 4 times. The cable chains are less money but that really isn't a concern, it isn't significant. This weekend I'm off to a different ski resort where chains are mandatory and I think the underlying road is gravel.

I appreciate the suggestions. I can't remember if I can post a link so I will try to post the link to the charts that show tire size and matching chains. (listed under the 18" section of course) The next links will be the chains themselves, first the diamond back chain then the cobra cable chain.

So I found a tire calculator online that gives circumference.

265/65/18 = 99.16" (my tires)
275/60/18 = 97.36
265/60/18 = 95.88

I don't know what range in circumference there is that remains functional. I assume narrower tires at say 245 will have the chains themselves more narrow, not just a different circumference?

Another question...if I go with the cable chains that actually list my tire size as a match can I use 1 cable chain and then use the remaining full on chain that I still have (it is a diamond back)? Does that create a problem to the vehicle with 1 chain being thicker that the other? I would think 1 of each would give me better traction than using 2 cable chains. Thanks again.
