Default Nerf bar install

I bought a set of N Fab wheel to wheel nerf bars and the instructions are to drill holes into the pinch weld at the bottom of the cab.

That's realy strong enough to hold these guys???

I have seen them mounted there before and they do hold. They will flex a bit if a large person steps on them, but not too bad. I always prefer the ones that use existing holes in the frame or the body mounts. I just can't bring myself to drill through the cab. Good luck!

I called the mfg and they made it make sense. The bracket has a second piece that locks in against the body, taking the stress of the body area, so the weight is distributed. Still gotta make sure I shoot (drill) straight, though!
