Help Please!
I just got a Recon rear light bar that goes on under the tailgate of my 2006 Silverado 2500. The instructions say it plugs into the "Trailer light plug". the plug is a flat four pin connector. Does anyone know where this gets pluged into. I have a big round outlet plug for a trailer to be pluged into on the back of my truck, but that is about ten times larger then this plug. Any help will be greatly taken. It also has a single wire that needs to be spliced into my driverside reverse light wire.

I am not sure what kind of light bar you are installing but their is a converter plug that converts from either 6 or 7 round to 4 flat trailer plugs.

 

Hi Grim. I was having the same question. Your truck is probably already equipped with both a 7 pin trailer adapter and also a 4 pin adapter since it's a 2500. The 7 pin is usually built into the bumper, and if you look UNDER the bumper you will find the 4 pin adapter just dangling there. It'll have a little black cap over it.. just remove the cap, plug it in, and you'll be on your way. I've got my tail gate lights up and running all except for the reverse lights part. The reverse lights have to be wired manually into the reverse light line. I've not done this yet, but will give it a shot once I have time. Recon makes two models of the tailgate lights one with and one without reverse lights, so you may not have to worry about that part at all. Hope this helps.

 

If that dont work out for you, just get an adaptor and more any auto part or trailer store
