Default New to the forum, full size truck shopping guidance

I’m currently in the market for a used pickup. I’m looking for a v8 powered crew cab design for $20k or less. Preferably around 160k miles or less. Eventually it will need to pull a travel trailer, possibly around 27’ long. I’ve been using smitecar.com to check which years are better than others on the reliability side of things. I’m looking at ram 1500’s, f150’s and Silverado 1500’s. Is this site a decent reference or is there something better out there? TIA! Feel free to select your personal preference of truck below.

It sounds like you have a good idea of what you're looking for in a used pickup. Smitecar.com can be a helpful site for checking reliability, but it’s always a good idea to cross-check with other sources like Consumer Reports or Edmunds. These sites also offer reviews, reliability scores, and ownership experiences, which can give you a well-rounded view of each truck.

As for the trucks you’re considering, the Ram 1500, F-150, and Silverado 1500 are all solid options. Each has strengths, so it might come down to personal preference and the specific condition of the truck you find. Good luck with your search!
