No heat and no high speed blower
I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 heating problem first off my harness to the blower switch burned up replaced harness and complete control module work good for a week now I don't have high speed and my temperature control along with the blend ***** doesn't work and I have very low heat coming out front vents and cold air coming out of the defrost. I've replaced high speed relay and the resistor. None of the actuators doesn't have any power. Any help would be very much appreciated.
It sounds like you may still have an electrical issue. If none of the actuators have power, something might be wrong with the wiring or a fuse.
Here are a few things you can check:
Fuses – Check every fuse related to heat, AC, and the blower system. A bad fuse can stop power from getting to the actuators.
Ground connections – Make sure all grounds are clean and tight. A bad ground can cause parts not to work.
Blower motor relay – You said you replaced the high-speed relay, but check the main blower relay too.
Control module wiring – The first harness burned, so there could still be damage or a bad connection somewhere.
Also, cold air from defrost and low heat at the vents can mean the blend door is stuck or not moving. If there's no power to the actuators, they can't move the doors.
You may need to trace power with a test light or multimeter to see where it stops. If power is not reaching the actuators, the problem could be between the control module and them.
