Default road ranger gear box tips

Hi
Hope I'm posting this in the right place! Just want to hear from anyone with
road ranger gearbox experience that may have some useful tips for someone
wanting to get their licence in a truck that has that gearbox.

Thanks

Road Ranger gearboxes work differently from normal manuals.

Take time to learn the splitter and range functions. The range changes the set of gears, and the splitter divides each gear into two.

Practice shifting slowly at first. Use the clutch fully and listen to the engine.

It helps to watch videos or ride with someone who has experience. You will get smoother shifts with practice.

Make sure your instructor knows you are learning on a Road Ranger.
