that carhartt collaboration is honestly such a smart move for anyone using their f-150 for actual work because those standard covers just don't stand up to the kind of abuse a job site puts out the gravel gray color is probably the way to go too since it’ll hide all that inevitable dust and grime way better than a darker fabric would plus knowing it’s a covercraft build means the fit is going to be spot on around the mirrors and bed which is a huge deal when you’re trying to throw it on quickly at the end of a long shift
it’s crazy how much of a difference a heavy duty material makes especially when you’re dealing with older trucks that have become passion projects over the years my neighbor actually went through a similar search because he was restoring a classic mid-90s pickup and was struggling to find a good chevy s10 cover that could actually handle being parked near his woodworking shop he eventually found a custom multi-layer one that kept the sawdust and moisture from ruining his new clear coat and it’s honestly the only reason that truck still looks like it just rolled off the lot
