Hello all I'm new to the forum .I have a question about my truck.My 04 has 118000 mi.I know that I need a cluster for my Speedo.But my engine light came on ,and off..went to auto zone and the code was 0300"random misfire".Changed all plugs and wires.Cleared computer.Now it stays on all the time.Rechecked all wires-ok.Seems to run alright definitly better than before.#3 plug had a burned off electrode(completely gone). I assume is what started the light coming on in the first place.Please help Thanks

the code needs to be cleared now that the problem is fixed..back to auto-zone!

 

Thats exactly what i did and it came back up as "random misfire" again.Thats when I rechecked the wires and plugs.They are all ok.I used ac/delco plugs,but all they had in wires were Bosch (7mm) wires.Loooked the same and were same length.Light went off this morning .we will see if it stays off.But thats been the routine.

 

Well as always the light has come back on but still runs like a champ.

 

sometimes an injector can "miss" enough to set codes,but not really run ****ty

Well what do know GM sent me a letter onthe cluster for my GMC ,unfortunately 30,000 miles too late,Grrrr.7 years from put into service or 70,000 miles
