Default 93 Chevy 3500 dually

I have a 93 3500 that blew while pulling a trailer. Had an old 78 k5 blazer rotting down that had a newly rebuilt engine (transmission out). Pulled the engine from the k5 and dropped into the 3500. The k5 engine (5.7) was same as the 3500. Changed all intake(FYI k5 had newer model heads) removed fuel pump and changed all sensors. The k5 engine had a 272 lift cam that is still in the 3500. It runs like hell...in a bad way. Pretty sure the ECM is not liking the cam. Is there any economic way to reprogram or replace the ECM to accept this cam modification? Really want to keep this truck fuel injected and not have to old school it.
