I'm going to purchase a new truck. I own a 23 foot boat and would like something to pull it with. I do not want to get killed on gas, and was looking for recommendations. I was looking @ the Chevy Silverado 1500 with the v6 engine and the frontier with the v6 engine any help would be much appreciated or any other recommendations

 

Don't cut yourself short look into V8 not that the 6 wont pull it but the milage difference isn't enough of a benefit w/ a V 8 what ever you may acquire from here on out the truck will pull .The new chevrolet trucks have great rebates & deals look into truck w/ econimizer shuts down 4 cylinders in and around town during casual driving i have it in my truck w/the 6.0 vmax engine i'm in throttle all the time & i still get 17.5mpg.trust me get the truck you really want so after you spend a ton of money you can at least say you have what you wanted .

 

Forget the v-6...won't pull the sock off your foot.

A 4.9 v-8 gets just as good mpg anyway
