Default greetings from the north

hey guys, I live in Alaska just north of Palmer with my wife Shannon and 5 month old black lab pup Sarge. I purchased a 95 chevy silverado 1500 when we moved up here because, well, they're awesome

Unfortunately, the truck gods have felt the need to test me and after about a week and a half the transmission went out (the previous owner had put a junker tranny in it 8 months prior and "forgot" to mention it), the radiator leaks, my front differential was bone dry, my 4x4 actuator is faulty, the blower motor (or resistor) is shot, and the water pump and thermostat needed replacing.

Needless to say, I am learning my new trucks mechanics rather quickly, but hey, that's also part of why I bought a 95, and I can honestly say I love her to death (though I can't say I haven't considered lighting it on fire followed by a tumble down a mountain).
