Default Hello from Central Indiana

Hello from central Indiana.

I'm planning to get a truck soon, and I'm in the research phase. I found this forum via a Google search. It looks like a good place to be part of and I have already lurked a few days.

I'm thinking 4WD and '98 or older. I've not settled on make yet, but I do plan on sticking with American companies (GM, Ford, or Dodge).

I look forward to being part of this forum.

Thanks for the welcome.

I have a line on a 1990 Silverado K1500. I've seen several photos, but I've not yet seen the truck. I'll be taking a look (and a drive) tomorrow.

It has a 5.0 V8 with an automatic transmission. Regular cab with short bed. It looks to be rust free and dent free, the interior (cloth, 60/40 bench) looks good.

The truck has 96,000 miles on the odometer and the dealer wants $3995.00.

If the truck proves to be in as good shape as the photos indicate, I just may be driving it home.

Sounds like a fair deal. I really like Chevy/GMC trucks. Does it have single or dual headlights?

I'm attaching a photo I found that shows the headlights.

Those are the duel style headlights. It has a seperate bulb for high/low beam. they are better lights.

Well, I didn't get the '90.

But I did get a 1999 4WD Silverado Z71 LT. It has the 5300 V8, off road, and trailering packages, pewter paint, and charcoal leather.

I'll post more details and photos later this weekend. I'll be sure to make that post in the correct forum
