Hi, im new to the forums here, my name is Ben, 17. I started driving with a Volkswagon Passat, but needed something to go scrapping with and hauling my mowers back and forth. Currently, i dont have a truck yet, hoping you guys here on the forums can push me to the right direction.

I have little over $2800 in the bank, so its enough to put a down payment on a used truck. But i was just offered with something that i cant possibly refuse, my dads truck.

Its a 2007 Dodge Dakota Crew Cab 4x4 5 speed. Little rust on the wheel wells in the back. Dings here and there, but hey, its a truck for a reason. Its having a loud hum sound when driving it, but i was quoted $1200 on repairs.

I think its a good idea, but i need some other oppinions, what do you think?

 

welcome....You got an estimate of $1200 to repair the truck. What did they say was the problem?
