So I want to buy my first truck, but I can't find what I want because I don't know trucks at all. What I'm looking for it a small, Small truck. Somthing that's gonna go when I drop the boot, but still be able to carry my Chit around where I go. Something not from the US. A few of my friends have trucks and they are GMs and FORDs and all they do is bitch about how fast they fall apart. I would like to find an older pickup. New onea look like new toys instead of trucks (all clean and shiny and Chit). I would love to find that toyota from top gear, if you dont know the one, its a good watch. they set it on fire...and put in the ocean...and atop a 20 story building set for demolition.

So my question is. What pickup would any recommend??

 

You are probably most interested in the Nissan Frontier. The Toyota Tacoma is more desirable, but it is harder to find in decent condition and often overpriced. You want a V-6 truck. I'd get 4wd if you can find it where you live.

You want a newer Nissan, the older ones had a timing belt and you need to be very careful when buying one. If you buy one that is overdue for servicing and the belt goes, it'll shred the engine. Keep the belt changed on schedule and the trucks are VERY solid. Most other Japanese manufacturers quit making trucks long ago.
