Howdy :D
Hey truck people,
I got a 94 Chev k-1500, its got some miles on it, but its my truck!
I got a 6 inch procomp lift and some big mud tires on it.
Well, I know this is gonna sound stupid, but the other day I went for a drive and I put the truck in neutral. I did not apply any brake when I put the truck in 4 lo, and heard a nasty cranking sound.
Did I just #$%^ up? I feel so stoopid about this, but need some help!!!!

Never... NEVER put the truck in 4Low while the vehicle is moving! I hope you didn't screw anything up, but that couldn't have been good for it at all. With the newer trucks the computer won't allow the truck to be put in 4Low unless the truck is in Park I believe.

Hey 92chev,
I was not moving at all, i just put the truck in neutral and put it in 4low, then I heard a nasty cranking noise, coming from the transfer case.
Was I supposed to apply brake? Did I f--k anything up, I'm going to get my truck inspected Monday morning anyways, hopefully no damage was done.
