Default Newbie from south west Idaho .

Just got here but not new to trucks or forums, this makes number 10 i believe, not sure. Been on FTE for several years and a great forum , but i am selling all Ford projects , builds and just looking around now. Bought a 2000 Chev 4x4 three door short box Silverado short box. I need to learn a little about it but don't plan to really work on it , just keep it going . I have been building street rods, trucks ect . for 50 years and am done with it. Got what i hope is a good reliable Chevy and plan to just drive it . So that's why i will be needing information to keep it going. Sorry for being so long winded but wanted to get it all out there. I will be watching and learning and thanks for accepting me here on what looks like a good clean forum . JIM

Welcome!

I love those model trucks just for their reliability... Idk why but I've seen many 99-02 pickups with the 5.3 go hundreds of thousands of miles without being taken care of.

With the 4x4, you're obviously going to have a bit more maintenance with the suspension and front end/steering, but it should still be a great reliable vehicle for you
