OK, I'm Checking in - from Phoenix
Hello Everyone,
I like the way this forum in set up. I have a 1991 C1500 Ext. Cab 2WD. I've had it since '93 and it has been a reliable ride. It's my "truck" and my "car," but it has only 93K miles on it. (I do alot of my commuting on two wheels.) It has had all of the typical periphery equipment replaced over the the years; starter; alternator; w-w motor; AC compressor; water pump; intake manifold gasket; radiator. Still, it runs good and I enjoy it, though it does use a lot of gas. Also the paint has withstood the relentless sun here in Phoenix with only a carport for protection. The color is GM's "brilliant blue" of that era, and it still looks pretty good. I've seen other colors and other makes that are toasted in a third of the time. However, as the years pile on, I'm beginning to see system faults or failures that are not as straight forward as a "starter motor replacement." For example, the ABS system and fuel injection are acting up, so hopefully you'll be able to point me in the right direction to diagnose these issues and help me keep Big Blue on the road.
Honestly, I do more wrenching on my bikes than I do on the truck, but at least I think I have a decent understanding of most internal combustion controls and sensors. Therefore, I'm looking forward to your (collective) expert opinions, and your assistance in bringing me up to speed in the truck world.
Thanks.
Tony

Thanks for the greetings, Gents.
Shamrock,
Were all the rides in your album owned by you at some point, or are some on your wish list? Very nice selection. I'm a sport tourer / commuter myself, but I appreciate most machinery on two wheels. I'll post an album when I find the time and figure out how to do it.
