Default Streakn in a 99 sonoma

I've been working as a mechanic both diesel and auto for 15 years until the semis blew out my back. My Sonoma is just 2 months from being finally paid for, time to upgrade. I have the 2.2L auto, cold air intake, no cat(which allows me to redline her), but she still shuts off at 92mph. I have 2 engines on the shop floor, my first choice the 400 big block Pontiac motor andsecond a 350 which I also salvaged the rear axle from the Camaro. Space in the Sonoma for the 400 is limited and with 91/2 inches to make up,it's either extend the front or a new firewall. The 350 is leading with ease of install, it will just fit after the factory wiring harness is gone. Then comes the Fords.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a plan... I would go for the 350 swap, should be able to find alot of swap kits for it(headers, mounts, etc.) Good luck!
