Blinkers not working...Interesting Problem
When I go to use the blinker (left or right) the indicator light will blink once and then stop working. The interesting thing is that both blinkers will illuminate oncelike I was using the flashers. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I did not check to see if the flashers are working but I plan on doing so some time after work.
It sounds like there might be a problem with the turn signal switch or the wiring. When both blinkers light up, it could mean there’s a short or a loose connection somewhere. You can try these steps:
Check the fuses – Look at the fuse box to see if any of the fuses for the blinkers are blown.
Test the flashers – Turn on the hazard lights (flashers) and see if they work normally. If they do, the problem might be with the turn signal switch.
Check the bulbs – Make sure the bulbs for the blinkers are working. Sometimes a bad bulb can cause strange behavior.
If you can’t figure it out, a mechanic can help check the wiring and switch.
