Ok so my friend raced me. I had a 2008 ford f250 V10 he had his 1996 Buick Riviera SC. Ok so we raced over the bridge. started coasting at about 35 and started. I beat him off the start and start pulling away till his front bumper is at my back bumper. Well at about 75 he starts to catch up and pulls away till his back bumper is at my front bumper which he didnt get any farther, he won. He claims that the only reason it was that close is because he had traction control off, which he claims makes the car slower. Is this true that traction control makes your car slower or is he just making things up because he almost lost.

 

traction control has many diferrent use. it depends on what type of car you have. if you have a car for drag racing traction control is used for performance enhancement.

 

yeah because he was making up an excuse that the reason it was close and that i pulled away was because traction control off makes the car slow

 

Some traction controls bog your motor down to slow it

 

why not do it again. race and tell him to do his best to beat you.LOL
