I've got a 65 chevy pickup that im wanting to put a diesel in. Not really sure what kind of diesel thats why im asking for ideals. The truck is got a K-member out of a 91 chevy half ton (A arms, spindles and springs , boxed in frame, 4 link, coil overs, rear end out of chevelle with spline axles and 456 gears. Im wanting to build a 10 street/strip truck. Got a big block sitting in the garage but want to be different. Thought about 4bt but not sure it can make the hp. Wouldn't mind a 12 valve but scared about the how the weight of the motor will affect the truck. Not sure how well it would hold up to 800+ ft/lbs of troque comming out a cummins. Planning on a twin setup for any of those wondering how serious I am. Any ideals would be great. Not really familiar with chevrolet diesels.
