Aftermarket engine additives ?
What ever happened to the additives that was all the rage in the 80's & 90's like Duralube, Prolong, etc.? I know they are still available. Those of you that tried them, what are your thoughts? Do you still use them?
The couple of guys I talked to that tried them wasn't convinced. I'm not a big advocate of additives, but I was just wondering.

RE: Aftermarket engine additives ?
Ihad a BroncoII that was probably saved by Slick50. The little thing couldn't muster but a few pounds of oil pressure at idle, but we added Slick50 at every oil change and it marched on for as long as I owned it. We never had a problem with it after putting that stuff in it.
My Grandfather added restore to one of his vehicles and lost all oil pressure. The stuff clogged up his oil filter. May have been a coincidence, due to a bad filter... I also installed it into an old Monte Carlo that I had and it seemed to improve the performance in it...
